Implants
An implant is a small titanium fixture that replaces the root portion of a missing natural tooth. The implant is placed in the jawbone and is covered by a permanent, ceramic crown. Implants are usually the best option for replacing missing teeth because they are anchored securely in the jaw and have much better function than a bridge or dentures. They feel like your natural teeth because implants are bridges that are permanently anchored to your jaw. Dr. Kakaris uses dental implants to replace ill-fitting dentures or missing teeth.
